Wedding season in full swing! On Saturday we brought a stunning Cotswold venue to life with a traditional canvas marquee, delicious afternoon tea, performing horses and spitfire flypast. In Surrey, guests danced all night to a lively ceilidh with a lakeside backdrop. Times now seem to be a little tougher for many people so we are ensuring all our ideas for the coming season include cost-effective options to maximise budgets whilst maintaining the highest standards.

Our outdoor venues page is fully up and running so please do take a look at some of these fantastic spaces. After a stormy but successful Cheltenham Festival we are glad to report that despite the cancellation of one day all our guests had a fabulous time. Do remember to book early for 2009!

Happy New Year to all! 2008 has got off to a flying start with planning for weddings in the Cotswolds and Surrey, a conference in the South of France, and bookings for the sporting hospitality season in full swing. We are also working on our new outdoor venues page so watch this space!

Our networking evening was a great success - the Gusto team provided us with a wonderful venue as well as fantastic eats and drinks. Watch out for details of the spring event! We're now in Christmas party season with corporate dinners at some fantastic London venues.

Eat, Drink and Connect! This is the name we have chosen for the new invitation-only networking group we have launched in conjunction with Gusto Deli of Cheltenham. Our first event is on 14th November at Gusto. We're really excited about this as working with local businesses is something we really value. If you'd like to be invited to future events, contact us.

September has obviously been a romantic month as we are now inundated with enquiries about wedding planning. We've also been busy on behalf of our clients looking at new venues and in particular had one great evening at the Serpentine Gallery where we enjoyed cocktails in the 2007 Pavilion designed by acclaimed artist Olafur Eliasson and award-winning architect Kjetil Thorsen.

As August sees the rest of the world on holiday, it's a great time for us to start putting together plans for 2008. Meetings with new clients and getting the ball rolling for a repeat of some of this summer's events have kept us busy.

Well the rain came…but it didn't dampen spirits. Despite the wettest set up we have ever experienced as always our great crew of suppliers turned up with smiles on their faces and did a fantastic job to ensure our private client's 40th birthday party went ahead against the odds. The hot air balloon even managed to find a break in the clouds and give guests marvellous views of the surrounding countryside.

Louise has spent a busy week at Henley Royal Regatta where clients had brilliant views of the racing whilst savouring the atmosphere of a quintessential summer season event. Meanwhile another member of our events team was representing a Spanish bio-fuels client at The Royal Show - until it was washed out on the last day! Natasha has been holding the fort and putting the final touches to a racing weekend in York and a hen weekend in Oxford.

Phew! End of the month and glad to report that all the events previously mentioned have been a storming success. A particular highlight for us was seeing the camping weekend come to life - the satisfaction of having turned an empty field into the ultimate playground for adults and children alike was immense. Scavenger hunts, water fights and circus skills were all part of the entertainment and everyone joined in wholeheartedly. Special thanks to all our brilliant suppliers who worked with us to make this event such a success.

Here we go! Last chance to draw a deep breath before a hectic fortnight of looking after some great clients who enjoy the glamour of the Artois Tennis Championships before heading off to rural Sussex to run our corporate family weekend - fingers crossed for sunny weather! Then back to Gloucestershire to put the final touches to an intricate Moroccan-themed launch party.

Quails were out in force last week with a wine tasting in one of Oxford's beautiful colleges. The experts willingly imparted their knowledge and everyone seemed to have a super time. Then at the weekend we were rocking with the countryside at Highclere Castle, in support of the Countryside Alliance. The weather stayed kind, the crowds feasted on gourmet picnics then happily danced the night away to rock gods Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton.

Got the go-ahead today for the camping weekend we've been putting together for an international city bank - this has added another weekend into what's already looking like a very busy summer. Luckily our marquee crew are always on hand and it's amazing how much two girls can know about generators and the finer points of cabling!

Had a call from a best man in a panic today! He suddenly realised he's left it a bit late to organise the stag trip to The Grand National but luckily we've been able to help with tickets and accommodation - and a few other bits of entertainment too...
